NIKE iD #WeRunToEat
In our journey of training for the We Own The Night Nike and Elle 10km race we were lucky enough to be invited by Nike to design our own individual Nike iDs at Box Park, Shoreditch.
We love this place, shout out to the person who was responsible for the interior design.
After sipping on some H2O and eating some hench macaroons we were asked “Nike Frees or Nike Air Max 1s?”
Obvs we all chose the AM1s!
We got onto designing. Design after design, and finally we got there! It’s hard when you’re only designing one shoe. We opted for block colourways for our shoes from their new classic colour palette.
Now for the iD on the back of the shoe. What a headache! We wanted “FOOD” and “LYCRA” but for copy right reasons we couldn’t use LYCRA. The next half an hour consisted of debates around the following:
- FOOD LYCR4 - too ghetto
- FOOD LYCR@ - too neeky
- F.N.L F.N.L - looks like FML
- CHOWS DOWN - not quite there...
- FANDL FANDL - looks like FANDLE *pause*
And finally Rach recalled one of our main hashtags...
WERUN TOEAT
